Building on the success of the inaugural Conference on Fair Employment Practices held in 2009, the Conference returns for its second run on 7 April 2010. The one-day conference will feature leading business and industry experts such as Mr Jaspal Singh Bindra (Group Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer, Asia, Standard Chartered Bank) and Mr Howard Ross (Founder & Chief Learning Officer, Cook Ross Inc).
This year’s Conference addresses key topics such as the impact of an ageing workforce as well as multi – generational challenges often faced at the workplace. With signs of the economy recovering, organisations need to be well placed with the right skills and strategies to retain important talent and maximise the potential of their workforce.
The Conference will also be the platform to unveil recipients of the inaugural TAFEP Exemplary Employer Award, who will be recognised for having implemented progressive and fair employment practices. Through this award, TAFEP aims to instil a greater understanding and appreciation of merit – based employment practices amongst employees.
Sessions and presentation continue to shed light on leading fair employment practices as well as the mindset change and organisational culture needed to shape an inclusive workplace. Participants can expect to gain valuable insights on how an inclusive workplace enables employees to contribute more effectively, improve morale and cut back on recruitment costs.
